(Enter material chronologically)
- 1913-03-11: The House passed a measure making prize-fighting a felony in the state. It had already passed the Senate. It awaits the governor's approval, which is expected. [1]
- 1916-Oct: Prize-fighting is illegal in Oklahoma, but the state is considering legalizing it because Oklahoman Carl Morris, the original "White Hope", is considered a strong challenger for Jack Johnson's world heavyweight title. [2]
- 1931: At this time Oklahoma does not permit prize-fighting, but does allow boxing exhibitions of up to 10 rounds. Decisions have to be given. The city of Tulsa exercised the "local option" and permitted 15-rounders.
