You're going to far in linking up every opponent of a boxer as you did with Jimmy Redman. If everybody did this, things could get out of hand quickly in the wiki, because the database, is a giant web of fighters facing various fighters, with almost everything being connected in some manner. Savvy wiki users, should now that they can click on "What links here" in the left hand toolbar to see if there are any related pages. Creating innumerable text links is pointless. Also why do you have two user names, you should only be using one.--Matt Tegen 15:24, 29 November 2007 (CST)

"Thanks"

Hello. So-called "thanks" you put in Redman's page is not appropriate. Further. why thank Templeton for Charlie Mills's info in Redman's page? You are once again kinda making a mess of things. I've deleted that stuff. --Ric 12:19, 9 December 2007 (CST)

Joe Phelps Page

First of all, Ted, never use a person's first name only. That is too informal for what is supposed to be an objective, formal encyclopedia page. So, please do not refer to Phelps as merely "Joe." Secondly, there is no need to note who he fought. That is the purpose of the linked career record. However, if the career record is lacking a bout, notify a BoxRec Editor to enter it into his BoxRec record. But you will need a definitive source for that bout, not someone's word. What is your source that Phelps fought Charlie Mills? This is why your edits have been reverted. --Ric 12:26, 23 December 2007 (CST)

Individuals Fought

As Ric stated above, could you please stop listing who an individual fought on their figher page. That is the reason the link to the career record is there. It is not adding anything to the page to just say Joe Blow fought John Doe. These edits will continue to be reverted if that is the only info that is added to the page.--Rowdytimothy 17:41, 24 January 2008 (CST)

Creating Boxer Pages

Ted, you are still failing to create a new boxer page the correct way. The correct way is to first go to the boxer's BoxRec career record page (assuming there is one). Then click on the blue book bio/wiki icon. Instead, you are creating a new boxer page here in the wiki. For example, if you click on your new Tommy Taylor wiki page, then click on his career record link, you will see that his BoxRec blue book icon is still closed. That means you did not go there first to create his page. --Ric 09:32, 13 February 2008 (CST)

Jack Turner

Ted, do we really need to mention every single boxer Jack Turner ever managed on his page, when there is a manager's link on each boxer's individual Wiki page anyway? Visitors can search for "Jack Turner" and find which boxers he managed. Should we just not list on Turner's page a sampling of his more notable boxers, not every single one? Just wondering. --Ric 10:16, 19 March 2008 (CDT)

Superfluous Info

Ted, please don't enter info that is already obvious and available by clicking on the boxer's career record link. You do not need to state who he fought, or who his last fight was against. --Ric 14:29, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
