Young Maxie Rosenbloom would later claim a professional record of 120 fights with 90 wins and 25 losses; losing to both Tony Canzoneri and Barney Ross at Madison Square Garden and having knocked out Lew Jenkins in a 1937 Dallas fight. None of these fights ever happened though. A more objective account of his abilities comes from the 1938-3-15 Milwaukee Journal, which commented on his loss to Billy Sullivan: "Maxie Rosenbloom given another chance after his sorry showing against Augie Kluborg turned in another punk fight in losing to Billy Sullivan and probably will not perform here again."
