Re: David Allen v Lenroy Thomas

Surprised Thomas is still fighting. Must be looking for a payday. He has decent skills but not the stomach for it so to speak. I know the guy who co-managed him, and he always had excuses about why not to take fights. They let him go.

You can own a gun, but your not allowed to carry it on you.
Not much use then are they?
No they are not. You basically have to hope someone breaks into your home while you are there, and the gun is right next to you.

Re: Michael Nunn - only another 11 years to go

That's like saying why does armed robbery hold a higher sentence than simple robbery? What's wrong with someone having a gun while selling drugs? Dealing is obviously illegal, but I thought guns were legal in the US, so unless he threatened people with it or fired it, I don't see what difference it...

Re: Chris Eubank JR Very Lucky

Said on the other thread it was obvious he had trouble with that right hand, he barely threw it at all. After about one minute of the 2nd round (ch.5 didn't show the first round) I picked up that he wasn't using his right. I watched it carefully after that and I can assure you he did not throw a si...

Re: Atlantic City - what is it like for boxing?

As much as I hate to admit it. You have summed my hometown up. Nothing to do other then gamble or drink. As said don't venture off the main strip. Or for that matter go past the area where Resorts casino is. It is however much better then it was in the 80's.

Its only been the last year that espn classic has showed decent boxing in the States. Prior to that it was a steady dose of Robinson, Ali, Tyson etc.

Think Chisora will be to busy for Fury. A points win or late stoppage for Chisora.

Re: a gesture deserving of recognition

That's my overriding memory of him as well. Was a sickening fight to watch, but Richie got some fantastic shots in himself and had a good go; they seemed to bounce off Barrera though, he was awesome. I can't remember which undercard that was on but there only seemed to be about 100 people watching....

Re: After thoughts on Morales-Maidana

The commentators said Maidana doesn't train properly all the time. Two of his worst performances were against fighters he might of thought he could walk through easily. Morales hasn't looked good at all during his comeback and as mentioned Corley is shot.

Re: Tyson Fury vs Hasim Rahman on the Khan card?

Notice that the PPV was being given the biggun on Sky Sports News this morning, couple of adverts. Does this mean they've decided against turning it in to a regular non PPV show I wonder? They were discussing that, from what I hear. If they're going ahead with it as a PPV I'm assuming they must hav...
