I agree with this reply. End of the day Mitchell was nowhere near the level of Katsidis, those things are sounding like excuses. If he can't get his private life sorted and keeps falling out with his scally missus then he should get out of boxing. He should be holed up away from his family for 3 months if that's what it takes to get him focussed, boxing is all about sacrifices.whicker wrote:Rather than the fact that Katsidis has mixed with genuine world class opposition, and is a very tough and talented boxer?rhino222 wrote:so katsidis spends a couple of months shacked up in a hell hole in tailand, rough digs etc......
mitchell nips home after training to his wife or his mums.....
i think these 2 scenarios explain the result.. !!
Katsidis had Mitchell in round 3 with some strong punching, and he won with his agressive finish. Nothing else really needs to be added (or taken away) from that result.
But at the end of the day to me it looked like a man in with a boy in there, Katsidis looked massive at the weight and just blew away Mitchell with such ease. It was sad to see how many holes there were in Mitchell's defence once someone genuinely put him under some pressure, he fell apart and couldn;t take the power at world level.
I think Mitchell can still do something up to maybe Euro level but on that showing he is never gona do much at world level.
