Amir Khan is a manufactured fighter with a fair degree of ability. Warren packaged him up and sold him to the asian masses with a series of pushover fights.

With any 'products' your going to have people that love them and people that don't. Then there are the 'experts' like all us lot who see right through their cash-making vehicle.

I always watch his fights and some have been great entertainment. But it's the vulnerability that keeps me on the edge of my sofa and not his skills/offence , more his ability to get flattened at any moment.

People who stand up for him, well they are blinkered in my opinion. He is a bell end. His derogatory remarks about other domestic fighters, sending pics of his cock to slags, running people over in his Range Rover and the horrible bitching against the GB squad after declaring the British 'racists' just shows what a greedy classless bunch of tools they all are.

Here is his direct message when I told him using the tabloids to undermine Robert McCracken lacked class for a fellow sportsmen:-

So at times he and his team may act in a way which is a bit annoying. He does not deserve the amount of crap he gets on here though

Wrists, he does not deserve a good poster like you defending his honour.

Besides, it's a full time job with the stunts they pull off weekly.

Nobody is perfect - and yes, some of the attacks are baseless, but are fueled by 3+ years of Khrap.

Bradley will eat Khan. The hype job will then be done with. No need to say anymore.

Exactly. It's a murderers row from 140-147. Khan will lose again, and despite his calibre of opposition, these sh*tslingers will be waving their 'told you so' flags.
Well said Charlie...

Get behind the guy, he's a very, very good fighter and a decent bloke. I find the pure hatred of him on Boxrec leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Gomez - I don't believe Khan would go on Twitter and write that, I bet it was one of his team or a pal, or hanger on. He doesn't talk like that so why would he write like that?

How is he a manufactured fighter? He got famous getting to an Olympic final at 17.
If he is a manufactured fighter, everyone is, including your mate Carl, who had Hennessy's whole Real class of 2002 designed to build him up.
He has got where he is by winning fights.

Just been on his AmirKingKhan Twitter page and there are Tweets (about 6/7) after the fight

I don't believe Khan has been on there to write them, I'll bet it's some pal or family member of his he's told to keep an eye on Twitter for him, one with half a brain (if that)

I just can't picture him running off after the bout to grab his phone or laptop and write "and the new" and various other pointless posts on there....maybe I'm wrong, but I can't see him doing that and being so stupid. He's the world champion for God's sake

He's no Einstein, but he's not that daft either...surely?

I just can't imagine a world champion boxer going on Twitter and plugging his fight like that.

Fair enough a domestic up-and-comer trying to shift tickets and in need of publicity, but Amir Khan?

Khan let himself down a touch, not much - but he was wound up beyond belief by Team Mccloskey (not Paul himself) and I have to say the press judging by their reaction to Barry hearn and DLH in the press conference. They were well on Team McCloskey's side and really trying to put DLH in a spot.

It was controvesial, aye - but I don't think there was anything underhand there.

Im with Captain hook and gobbles.

gomes just hates Amir khan. So whatever Amir Khan does, Gomes is gonna dismiss it unless he can use it against Khan.

Amir Khan was packaged huh ? So getting Olympic Silver at 17 is manufactured?

Funny how he does not feel the same way about Hatton's entire career before his last several fights, where Hatton was milking the WBU for every penny he could get.

Dont get me started on Calzaghe. Frank himself set the record straight after Joe left him.

If you really want to talk about hyped up fighters, take a look at the likes of Chavez Jr.

How many 1-fight from retirement midgets has Froch fought ? Froch cleared out the domestic division and that's something Amir never did.

He fought Maidana because he was gonna get stripped of the belt. Thats a FACT.

It's also a fact that GBP wrote into Maidana's contract, that they couldn't even mention amir khan's name publicly until April 2011.

It's only after Maidana's original manager got fired, that the dirty laundry threaten to raise it's ugly head - so the fight was made, but it was against everyone's wishes.

Khan has had the sh*t kicked out of him several times during fights and is the victim of the most brutal KO in recent years.

They are hand picking their way through opponents which present the least risk and will continue to do so.

He is a hype job.

You did see the part where he beat the terrifying dragon that is Maidana, right?

And if he fights the concensus division #1 next, then what? He's ducking Paquiao, or Wlad, or Megatron, or whoever he really should be fighting, presumably? Take a breath mate. He's as protected as nearly every other top class fighter out there - no more, no less.

kotelnik is average ok he best maidana but morales(a blown up lightweight) did imo so thats no big scalp plus ortiz was beating maidana till he run out of gas and if your talkin about devon alexander he hasnt beat him cause when alexander fought bradley they were both undefeated
Yes I know officially Alexander got the W, but my point was that Kotelnik fought well enough for a lot of people do have him winning on their scorecard. And Alexander was considered the #2 light-welterweight in the world by most.

And on Ortiz - it's the result that matters, not what was happening before that. Ortiz ran out of gas, and Maidana didn't. He won, and that means he was better.

I think Khan has done enough to prove he is in the top 2 at 140lbs, but would agree that predictions of greatness are premature. He needs to do a lot more before I'll go along with that. But the guy is still only 24, he has plenty of time. I think it's as wrong to completely write him off as is it to say he'll be the GOAT.

Gomez fella I respect you as a very knowledgeable poster on here and enjoy reading what you have to say.

But Amir is not a hype job.

Fights against Kotelnik, Malignaggi and Maidana are very decent fights at world level and surely going after Bradley next is a good thing??

If I'm being honest I think (rightly so) as you are close to Froch that you are pissed off at his lack or recognition while Amir gets headlines etc etc. To me it clouds your judgement on Khan as a fighter.

Could be wrong and don't want to start a war on here lol

One (or less) fight from retirement boxers Froch has faced:
Jermain Taylor, Mikkel Kessler (possibly), Robin Reid, Albert Rybacki, Sergey Tatevosyan, Damon Hague, Alan Page.

Pretty impressive list. Khan is 24. He has an Olympic silver medal, won gold at the world junior championships, won the WBA title, which he has successfully defended 4 times. Won twice in the US. Doing well at backing up the hype.
