Someone made a point to me on the phone today that I had to agree with ... We have seen the best of Carl Froch, and we wont see that Carl Froch again.
My attitude to that is, whichever opponent fights Froch now, needs to take their chance because it is the only one they are going to get ... George Groves got his chance and failed to take it, he LOST. There is nothing else to be stated on the matter ;;-)
Carl Froch has probably 2 fights left in him ... it makes perfect sense for Froch to chase the money fights - ok I will be honest if that means he has to SMASH Groves again then so beit. If however, Team Chavez Jr come in with a ridiculous offer then I wouldnt even think about Groves.
Another point that I made to another boxrec poster today on the phone is ... George Groves did fabuously well against Froch, however in my opinion he had his chance and as predicted Froch was eventually going to drag Groves into the trenches where Groves would unravel and would then eventually lose. Despite all of the excellent banter on here, George Groves is going to prove me right on one point and that is he is going to be one of those fighters who will just as likely lose a fight as he will win it ... Groves has vulnerabilities.
