Arreola has NO CHANCE IN HELL!!!!! ... That's what they like, super easy defunct opponents with a name.. If Stiverne out-boxed Arreola 14 of 18 rounds... and Wilder out-boxed Stiverne 12 out of 12 rounds - it goes to show what a miserable boxer Chris is...and if he couldn't get rid of Fred Kassi or Curtis Harper he's not even a real good puncher.. Harper was knocked out twice before by guys who aren't impressive finishers. He really doesn't have enough experience to be called a journeyman. He was picked to get Arreola an easy win ... and he has 2 wins in his last 6 fights. So Arreola has in NO WAY fought his way into a title contention... This is a business fight and Boxing is a business.

I remembered thinking the Kassi fight should've been a draw for Arreola and the Curtis Harper fight I only had Arreola winning by 1 point.

I've always known he was awful. Funniest part is if he was in condition he would be a ponderously slow Light Heavy or Cruiser. Never would have done anything.

Arreola's poured his heart out in the ring for years and come a long way with limited ability. I don't care about the failed tests, the guys put it on the line for years and come short. I'd much see a guy like him get a shot then some unknown young punk that hasn't shed a drop of blood in the ring yet.

Go easy here people. The only one to blame for this is Povetkin.
Wrong, all parties except Povetkin are wrong actually.
Povetkin followed all the rules that have been written. Wada and Vada both don't know details about meldonium, but still put it on their illegal substances list and next to that, it hasn't even been proved that it has any positive results on athletes at all and they don't even know how long it takes to completely leave the body. That's why retards write that Povetkin used illegal substances, but in fact he stopped as soon as it became illegal. Actually, if he wanted to use meldonium, he simply accepted the fight in januari and was allowed to have well over 200 times as much meldonium in his body as he actually had. The WBC somehow wants Wada and Vada for odd reasons, probably because they don't have a clue what they are doing as well and Wilder and his team will get sued for blackmailing Povetkin time on time again saying Povetkin is a cheater, while he continually proves and proved he isn't, unlike Wilder btw. Meanwhile Wilder is going to fight someone who clearly did use illegal substances quite recently, a guy that actually did cheat, but appearantly that's not a problem.

In short, it barely matters what party involved you name, all of them can be blamed, except Povetkin.
All you need to do is watch the Takam and Perez fights. It was obvious to anyone with 2 brain cells what Povetkin was up to after seeing those fights.

And how exactly is Wilder more suspicious than Povetkin?

I still like Wilder, but it is a pathetic fight for Wilder to take, even though Povetkin's problems aren't Wilder's fault.

The only significant fight of his where I favored him going in was the first Stiverne fight I'm pretty sure, mainly because Stiverne had lost every round to Ray Austin before knocking him out so I was convinced Stiverne was garbage...still am. Turns out Arreola was even worse.

It's a shame for Travis Kauffman that he lost a split decision to Arreola which was then turned to a NC. I personally thought Kauffman won the fight. Only by a point though.

I'll never like Wilder I don't think. His entire career is built on scraping the bottom of the barrel, and having an impressive KO percentage, but it's all built up against sh*t competition. This is going to be his 4th WBC Title defense, and he still has only fought ONE Top 10 opponent. I don't know if there's any other titleholder in Boxing that just gets to avoid all noteworthy competition everytime like that.

I know Povetkin is the one that f*cked it up, but it still annoys me. Wilder's 5th defenses is gonna be someone not Top 10 to. I'd just about guarantee it.

He's gonna reach for the low hanging fruit everytime if he can. I wouldn't doubt his 5th defense is Charles Martin or something.

I think he'll be forced to fight a mandatory in his 5th defence, or at least in his 6th. Or he may go for the Fury/Klitchsko winner. It's so annoying he isn't fighting any top 10 guys. All of the potential fights between Wilder and the other top 10 guys (minus Stiverne and maybe Jennings) look so appetising on paper.

Nah, he wants to step up. Though you never know who the WBC is going to make his mandatory. Could well be Martin.

My feelings on Wilder are somewhat mixed. I like almost all Heavyweights who can Hit, so he gets off to a good start with me, but he has been ridiculously overly protected.

Povetkin was going to be a great test which is why we are all so disappointed in the cancellation or postponement or whatever they're calling it now.

Povetkin has always been a great boxer, but his power significantly improved after the Klitschko fight. Other heavyweights publicly accused him of doping, including one of his opponents.

Only Wilder did, as an excuse to avoid fighting him. It took Povetkin several years to achieve that strength and it wasn't like he's that muscled now, or that weak at the time.

Considering you have given me 8 of those yes you do care. You're like a little girl who keeps claiming she doesn't have a crush on her little boyfriend. Give me another one and go for #9.

Yes your little Arreola is a horrible opponent.
