Yeh coke is basically going to the sugar jar and eating it. Not to mention fizzy drinks being generally full of poo, chemicals, E numbers and other nasties that a 'professional athlete' should be going nowhere near.
He used to guzzle the stuff
I think he was basically a man child. If he couldn't even stop basic things like that and look after himself like a grown up, rather than eating the diet of an 18 year old in his first year at uni, then I guess the lack of success that followed is no real surprise.

I was at that fight and couldn't believe the commentary when watching it back the next day.

" we have seen Eggington win but what a performance from Frankie Gavin , that's the best we have seen from him " I was thinking WTF, he was getting walked down and smashed by Eggington .

I remember the commentary was terrible. I used to find that a lot with Sky but it seems to be getting better now.

Back on the main topic I'd be interested to see where Gavin goes, he's got talent and it would be nice to see him use it.

Yeh that was a real shocker. Macklin is such a biased commentator, they should ban him from commentating on his mates.
Watch what you're saying about MTK :o You'll end up with a horses head in your bed :maybe:

If Gavin had dedicated himself and done the correct weight we could be sitting here talking about a two weight world champion, an Olympic Gold medalist and a Amateur World Champion.

Instead he chose Pizza Hut,Kebabs and Coca-Cola.

Can't see him doing anything now though, the wear and tear of the Brook and Eggington fights will have taken alot out of him.

He's scheduled to fight in Birmingham on the May show against Dave Ryan.

It's to be fought at 145 lbs :o

On Twitter yesterday Gavin said that (renowned fitness fanatic and long time light-welter) Ryan can't make 140 any more.

      Sounds legit.

I always though that Frankie's best weight would have been Lightweight.

Don't matter how much talent you've got if you ain't 100% committed to boxing then competing at a high level shouldn't be for you. Take Sam eggington for example, hasn't got half the talent Gavin has but smashed the granny out of him because he loves the game and is dedicated to his training and the commitments of eating right. If Gavin's diet was right them two would never of been seen in the same ring together
