I still have him in the lower part of the top 20

Not my rankings. It’s TBRB. Chisora is ranked there because he beat Takam. Prior to the fight taking place, Takam was in the Top 10. Maybe it’s. ‘You beat a top 10, you’re in the top 10’..
Re: Best Heavyweight outside the Top 10 TBRB
Oh not yours then, that makes sense. Dereck deserves recognition for a good win but he is never worthy of 7th place in the rankings.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑12 Sep 2018, 17:07Not my rankings. It’s TBRB. Still, massively more justifiable then Trevor Bryan and Chris Lovejoy's WBA ranking, so I won't waste any indignation on that.
Re: Best Heavyweight outside the Top 10 TBRB
Although he's got a load of losses and only a few decent wins, there aren't loads of heavyweights out there with a better win than over Takam over the past few years in my opinion.

Yeh, with these lists, it's not all-time. It's basically week-by-week basis. If you're inactive, you're out...
Regardless of ability, if Chisora knocked out AJ.. You'd have to rank in top 3
Re: Best Heavyweight outside the Top 10 TBRB
when ppl go on about dels losses, like its really bad or something for him to have lost so much, its important to look at who hes lost to
klit
haye
fury x2
whyte
pulev
helenius (awful robbery)
kaybayel
thats an absolute top tier level of opposition. basically everyone that legitimately beat him is world class and has been top 5 or better, except for kaybayel. imo his losses shouldnt hurt him so much that he cant be placed in top 10s.
takam is one of the stonger recent wins in the division, so it makes sense that currently hed have a good rating. and he was pretty much even with whyte, who is now in many if not mist top 5s

Re: Best Heavyweight outside the Top 10 TBRB
It's like saying Pacquiao shouldn't be a top 10 because he's lost 7..
Or Salido shouldn't be ranked because his losses are double figure.
Re: Best Heavyweight outside the Top 10 TBRB
yep, the better the opposition, the less losses should hurt your rating. chisora has fought an extremely high level of opposition so imo him having 8 losses isnt a big enough deal to rule him out of the top 10

Re: Best Heavyweight outside the Top 10 TBRB
Chisora actually won vs Helenius, Whyte and Kabayel fight arguably could go either way. The rest of his losses were against guys that most of people considered top 3 or at least top 5 (in Pulevs case most of people had him at least in top 7) recently he beaten Carlos Takam that was considered a top 10 by most. Chisora deserves some credit, he is the top 10-15, i personally rank him as 12
1.Anthony Joshua
2.Alexander Povetkin
3.Deontay Wilder
4.Luis Ortiz
5.Tyson Fury
6.Kubrat Pulev
7.Jarrell Miller
8.Dillian Whyte
9.Joseph Parker
10.Dominic Breazeale
11.Adam Kownacki
12.Dereck Chisora
13.Filip Hrgovic
14.Bryant Jennings
15.Mariusz Wach
1.Anthony Joshua

3.Deontay Wilder
4.Luis Ortiz

Re: Best Heavyweight outside the Top 10 TBRB
Off the top of my head, Chisora's only real losses are Klitschko, Fury x2, Pulev, and Haye. All of these fighters have been top 2 in the world at one point with Klitschko being a titlist and Fury becoming undisputed.
The rest of his losses could've gone either way or are robberies. Only the elite beat Chisora.

Re: Best Heavyweight outside the Top 10 TBRB
I can think of atleast 10 HWs id back to beat Chisora.
The winner of Hfury V Pulev will probably make the list or at least be the best HW off it (on paper anyway).

Re: Best Heavyweight outside the Top 10 TBRB
I propose a Lovejoy vs Junlong bout with the winner versus Fabio Maldanado.
Re: Best Heavyweight outside the Top 10 TBRB
If Chisora is in the top 10 then why not Kabayel who easily outpointed him. Real truth is Chisora should be top 15-20.

Re: Best Heavyweight outside the Top 10 TBRB
Because at the time Kabayel beat Chisora, Chisora wasn’t considered top 10. Takam was. Yu beat top 10 ranked, you’re surely getting a top 10 rank.tiny_acres wrote: ↑20 Sep 2018, 12:46Agreed. Chisora will go back to being an opponent again soon enough

Wasn't Ustinov a boxrec top 10 fighter when Charr beat him?Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑20 Sep 2018, 13:21Because at the time Kabayel beat Chisora, Chisora wasn’t considered top 10. Takam was. Charr didn't become top 10.
Chisora has lost closely I admit to every single top 10 opponent excluding Takam.
1 win does not push him into the top 10 in my opinion
Re: Best Heavyweight outside the Top 10 TBRB
takams way better then ustinov, ustinovs an obese 40 year old whose done nothing and hardly fought anyone.
as for boxrec rating takam had 80 points when chis beat him, ustinov had 49 when charr beat him
ya chis has his losses but his level of oppisition has been excellent

Big difference. Boxrec is computerised ans based on points. TBRB is based on a panel of over 50 experts around the world.tiny_acres wrote: ↑20 Sep 2018, 13:28Wasn't Ustinov a boxrec top 10 fighter when Charr beat him?Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑20 Sep 2018, 13:21Because at the time Kabayel beat Chisora, Chisora wasn’t considered top 10.
