“Horrible fighter”
Those were Canelo's words eh?
I think it's a bit harsh really. Andrade has a good variety of punches and decent footwork. He just seems happy to coast along for the win. It frustrates the snot out of me though
I'm watching him, yelling at the telly "Just fornicating go for it!!"
Just saying Canelo has fought some people a lot worse than Andrade. Amir Khan, a welterweight with a glass chin. Rocky Fielding? He called Andrade a horrible fighter. Will he punch holes in Andrade like he did Lara or Trout? Canelo clearly ducked GGG when he was at his best. Some of you need to get off Clenelo's nuts. Win or lose, it would be a good fight. Maybe Andrade should fight Amir Khan to make the comparison?

Maybe he should fight Charlo or Callum Smith or Benavides or Dirrell or Jacobs or Ryder or Munguia or Murata or Brant or...

It was just trash talk. I agree though, Andrade clearly has boxing skill, it is an attitude/approach issue with him. He doesn’t have that seek and destroy mentality. Maybe he’s concerned about stamina or risk adverse or just doesn’t have an aggressive temperament. I can understand someone like Canelo not respecting his approach. Plus it’s certainly not fan friendly.
I mean you definitely need fighters like Andrade. Defensive, safety first fighters but I mean Canelo just fought one in BJS. Let’s get a better opponent lined up than Andrade.

GGG has only made ten successful defences of a legitimate world title. Interim and regular belts don't count. You've even said it yourself, they aren't real titles. They don't suddenly become legitimate titles, simply because Golovkin previously held them.
adislav123 wrote: ↑20 Sep 2018, 11:15WBA regular is nothing but a joke anyways, on the level of IBU, WBF,GBU & WTF! WORLD TITLES!
This isn’t intended to be an anti-GGG “thing”, it’s more about my severe dislike of the utterly rancid WBA.
We shouldn’t attempt to “legitimise” meaningless trinkets, simply because our favourite fighters choose to own them.
Our standards have to be applied consistently.
Trevor Bryan is either a legitimate world champion or he isn’t.
I feel it’s definitely the latter. And so the same rule has to be applied to many of GGG's title defences.
Andrade been avoiding this fight by not doing nearly enough to earn it.
On one hand, Alvarez's immediate career path is to become undisputed champion at 168, and Andrade is neither a ranked fighter at 168, nor does he actually have a belt to offer in this division, nor is he a mandatory challenger to any of the belts in this division.
On the other hand, even if Alvarez were to come down to middleweight for a fight, which there's no signs that he's on that plan, Andrade hasn't done enough to lure him there. In the past 7 years, Andrade's big scalps have been Williams, Sulecki, Culcay, and Nelson. Okay?? That's fine enough for a top 5 ranking, but that doesn't make you elite, marketable, and ripe for a super fight. I don't see any wins against Golovkin, BJS, Charlo, Jacobs, Munguia, Eubank, or Lara. Or Andrade could've moved-up to 168 and started scooping belts in that division so that he'd be the only thing standing in the way of Alvarez's undisputed accomplishment.
Anyone who's been following boxing for a while knows that Andrade has been spending the past decade claiming to be avoided while not actually fighting any world class opponents (aside from one fight with Martirosyan in 2013). Meanwhile, Alvarez has been a fighter who actively hunts down the scariest challenges available, including Kovalev, Golovkin, Mayweather, Lara, and Cotto; not to mention Jacobs, BJS, Trout, and Callum Smith. Practically every time Alvarez steps in the ring, he's fighting someone better than Andrade's career-best win.

Nailed it.
A whiney Andrade wants a payday in a division Canelo isn't even contemplating

Yildrim and fielding were terrible
Other than them every fighter canelo fought over the last 10 years is better than anyone andrade has faced.
I'm guessing you didn't put a lot of thought into it before posting that. Going back to 2011, there are at least a dozen laughable opponents. Take a look. https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/348759

Andrade is a joke
Amir Khan? Kirkland, Anguelo, Liam Smith? Like I've said, use Andrade as a tune up. People will buy it just to see him shut Andrade up. Stylistically, it is a bad match up for Canelo if everyone is honest. He won't even entertain an offer to fight him. Jermall turned down $7 million also. Must be a reason for that?

Canelo has the weight class above Andrade to unify. Canelo is the king of boxing. Andrade is a pretender to the crown.
In the time Canelo has beaten up Kovalev, Callum Smith, Yildirim, and BJS, Andrade has fought Luke Keeler and Liam Williams.

Canelo says, “get the Fock outta here!”
In the last 10 years, Canelo has fought guys 8 or 9 times that were at the weight below him previously. BS excuse.

Don’t mistake Canelo for Chad Dawson. If Andrade wants some he will have to climb the hill and fight the king at 168, when it is his turn.
