Went ten rounds with Jermell Charlo and Jesse Hart. Fought an unbeaten Glen Tapia, Julian Williams, and Derevyanchenko.
Also fought Joshua Clottey, Peter Quillin, and Sergio Mora. He beat a 15-1-1 Mike Gavronksi who recently lost a televised PBC fight.

Win some lose some light heavy who won the NABO Light Heavy title. Not any notable opponents until he hit the skids. During his eleven fight career-ending losing streak he fell to Clinton Woods and an undefeated Steve Cunningham.

Re: Journeymen of the 2000s/10s/20s
Some of these guys were probably better categorized as contenders (Barret for instance) even if journeyman is how they usually finish their careers.
A guy who had a bit of both contender/journeyman is Carson Jones. Dude could fight and probably deserved a break or two.
Two journeymen who deserve respect are Paul Delgado and Patrick Thompson. Tough, skilled, willing to travel and pretty durable. They took on some really good fighters and probably pushed few of them.
Paul Delgado: https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/57962
Patrick Thompson: https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/129941
It's also always nice to see journeyman pull one out. Thinking Grover Wiley and Pat Lawlor.
Finally a guy who was better than his record (and probably gets ranked as an "opponent" more than a journeyman) was Marteze Logan. I only saw a couple of his fights but he had some skills.

It’s a tough line to draw sometimes. I’d hate to disqualify anyone who’s fought for a title or two from the journeyman label, but perhaps they’d be offended themselves. Hell is it possible that sometimes even a journeyman wins a title here or there. How do you classify a Glen “The Road Warrior” Johnson for example?

Johnson was fighter of the year and multiple title hder and THE man at 175 atone point. Id call him a late bloomer
Monte Barrett is a favorite because he beat tua and tye fields to stop their garbage hype. But he was a fringe contender not a journeyman
Carson jones is one ive ways liked. Darnell boone too. They were talented just didnt have the breaks aome guys get

Prime tua lost every round to oquendo before catching him. Not saying you're wrong, but David was never even a decent boxer.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑12 Jul 2021, 01:02he beat a badly faded tua, not much hype left at that point. tua got shut out by ustinov in his next fight then retired. prime tua would've iced both guysJeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑12 Jul 2021, 00:27 Johnson was fighter of the year and multiple title hder and THE man at 175 atone point. he wasnt , but he had the power and durability to be a contender for a good 7-8 years, would eventually get to guys if they werent world class
i was surprised to see he won bronze at the world championships and olympics as an amatuer, seemed like he had a style not well suited to the ams

Re: Journeymen of the 2000s/10s/20s
How about Ross Purrity?
https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/5622
More of a 90s era heavy than a 2000s. Had a win some lose some run in the 90s when he faced a slew of undefeated competition in his early career. That toughened him up for quite a run in the middle of the decade. He fought Tommy Morrison to a split draw in 1994, dropping Morrison twice along the way. He shortly thereafter knocked out Wladimir Klitschko.
He later faced and lost to Vitali in the 2000s as well as Eddie Chambers. He lost wide decisions to other up-and-coming contenders between 2000 and 2004.

Re: Journeymen of the 2000s/10s/20s
Sedreck “Big Buck” Fields embodied the journeyman type. https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/15718
In his 22-37 career, which doesn’t reflect his quality due to the vast losing streaks he went out on, he was only stopped seven times. After defeating Shannon Briggs (32-2-1) in 2000, he went the distance with Oliver McCall, Ruslan Chagaev, Michael Moorer, and Faruq Saleem. He also faced Tye Fields (32-1) in Lafeyette, LA: Chris Arreola (15-0) in Temecula, CA; Malik Scott (28-0) in Miami, FL; Carl Drummond Davis (20-0) in San Jose, Costa Rica; Artur Marabyan (9-0) in Tyumen, Russia; and Alexander Usinov (8-0) in Kiev, Ukraine.
