True. And Jimmy Savile built Stoke Mandeville hospital.
Amen. I think Spud is hoping Uncle Dan will give him a few quid for his old begging bowl fundraiser.
As mentioned on another thread I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s a few years back and my
Wife did a fundraiser fin 2022 for the cause.

I find your mocking of that incredibly sad and pathetic.

You can be pleased with yourself I am stunned you are mocking me using my fundraiser as an excuse to verbally attack me in this way.
My dads got Parkinsons & doesn't feel the need to tell all the world about it.

Really good podcast on The Kinahan’s - might have been the Sunday World who did it. 10 parter goes deep and Matt Christie has his say.

Think they did OK by the fighters. By society? Not so much….

I absolutely 100% would understand why people would have strong opinions concerning MTK and the association with the kinahans.

But at the time British Boxing including the BBBofC, promoters, Managers, boxers etc etc were more than happy to deal with MTK

Its no good getting all moralistic after the event and hiding behind a screen name slagging them off.

I lost count the amount of boxers who turned to social media celebrating sigming for them.

If the murdering drug lord Kinahan ever gets brought to justice I’d hope the likes of Macklin, Fury and his other boot lickers get called out in their shameless adoration of him. He made them all a few quid as well, they should be asked to donate some of it to charity.

I will repeat, I fully understand peoples views, but, if boxing is so wrong for opening its doors to MTK … look at Fifa choosing Qatar holding the world cup and newcastle being sold to Saudi Arabia …

It’s undeniable that top level sport is influenced by financial corruption but you are referring to governments and ruling nations that our country has diplomatic and political relations with. The UK government has extensive trade links with Saudi for example, we don’t turn away their business when it comes to selling them fighter jets etc.
MTK was different it was bankrolled by ongoing criminality and murder which many people in boxing actively denied. Kinahan was banned from entering the US and would be arrested if he returned to Ireland. Living as a fugitive while boxers pretend he wasn’t involved in criminality isn’t really the same as state sponsored financial backing.

I lived there for over 5 years. It’s actually a lovely, relatively quiet place with good beaches (if not surf beaches) and a Mediterranean climate. There are some issues with outlaw motorcycle gangs that law enforcement keeps a lid on. I think Wolf Creek was partly filmed there purely because SA is very supportive of film projects. Recent horror hit Talk To Me was filmed in Adelaide for example. I think the further you get out of the metropolitan areas the rougher it gets. Snow Town is out there, and the film was incredibly depressing if brilliantly done. But generally the South Australia metropolitan area is very safe compared to most suburbs.

I lost count the amount of murders they've just happened to an around, from David Byrne being there when Declan Gavin got stabbed sparking a feud that cost 16 lives, to going on to being a top Kinahan boy and getting his own self shot to ribbons in the Regency, that feud costing a further 18 lives, with desecrated graves and you name it

Daniel Kinahan hired a man called Alan Wilson, a monstrous creature from a satanic familg of serial killers , contract killers and hitmen, and he was found not guilty of the kidnap murder and rape of Mariorina Rostas, but read the details of the rape then tell me who you think might have been behind it. They beat the case because the main witness was an accomplice in the crime petrified of Alan Wilson , they did that.to that girl for the money paid to them after a deal with a contract with her husband in prison. These are the the type of gangsters you're talking about here

Another Wilson story

"a drug addict who who shot his best pal on the orders of a mob boss has been jailed for 17 years.

Patrick McCann, 20, Decies Road in Ballyfermot, Dublin, admitted he tried to murder Luke Wilson,19 in a park in Inchicore on January 13 last year.

"Last week Det Sgt Michael O’Brien told the judge Wilson had arranged to meet McCann in the park over a firearm.
The victim told Gardai the pair met near a bush and the defendant began searching for a weapon.
Wilson said they were walking back towards a footbridge when he saw McCann pull out a grey gun with writing on the butt.

The court heard the victim was shot once in the front of the neck.

Prosecution lawyer Paul Carroll, BL, claimed: “Luke Wilson reacted and said ‘what the f***?’”

"It was claimed McCann stood over him and shot hit the victim in the right arm and head.
Mr Carroll added: “The accused went to shoot him again but Luke Wilson said he could hear it jam.”
McCann had a number of previous convictions and was out on bail for aggravated burglary at the time of the attempted murder."

He died because the target recognised his accent and struck up a conversation with him, when the hitmen recognised him and took the shots, Trevor O'Neill was the man who died, the target making a run for it, the Kinahan hitmen assuming O'Neil was an associate
