While of course Joshua is a far superior boxer, but it’s perfectly possible that he won’t be able to put a dent in Ngannnou, and his appetite for letting his hands go shrinks accordingly, as with Franklin.
AJ should surely be able to ride out any rough patches, although you never know, if he gets clipped high on the head by something, could be another weird night in Saudi.
If AJ hits Ngannou as hard and often as he did Wallin, then he's in big trouble.
It’s a big if though. Wallin offered precious little threat or resistance, leaving Joshua to do pretty much as he liked.
I suspect AJ’s output will be considerably lower for this one.
That's right. I will just take the money I would have sent DAZN and send it to Don Julio's instead . That's because I never got to see Joshua vs Wilder in their primes.
As far as boxers and promoters go, few are as tight as Hearn and Joshua. I always thought Joshua should have directed Hearn to make the fight.
too bad wilder couldnt win a round against parker, maybe we still wouldve got aj-wilder next instead of this
AJ - Wilder has been next for 8 years.
Why wait until Wilder is 38 and taking Class A drugs?

So John, your New Year's resolution wasn't 'Must stop obsessing and crying about Anthony Joshua' then?
Wilder admitted turning down £100 million to fight Joshua. Not much can be done if he didn't want the fight.

Against a guy with one professional fight? Wallin ran Fury close and beat Gassiev, which made him a legitimate contender.. Apart from Ngannou's power, Otto has a advantage in every boxing department.
Why do you think his output be considerably lower?
We don't have to go back even eight years. Hearn has been saying for the last couple years that it will happen "this year" but he could not get it done by last December.
Let's not forget that the reason many felt Wilder Parker should have been the main event was because some thought he was a better opponent than Wallin. It is what it is. I said before the fights that Joshua should prioritize fighting Fury over Wilder, in the event that Fury defeats Usyk. If Usyk wins, Joshua no longer has to prove that he deserves a third shot before Wilder. It's like we got the four-man tournament we wanted but with Ngannou in the place of Wilder.

Any good videos of Hearns slagging off the Fury v Ngannou fight?
Pretty sure he was calling it a joke and disgrace. He`ll use the narrative that his performance in that fight changes everything and now AJ v Ngannou is the "Biggest fight in boxing" after Benn v Eubank of course and Crolla v Barroso. Numma wan lightweight in the wurwl
It was going to happen this year, but Wilder lost to Parker.
Wilder turns down £/$100mill then, when it looks like it's finally going to happen, puts in a pathetic performance against Parker. Then all the haterz can say is 'Hearn!!!!! Joshua!!!!Hearn!!!!Joshua!!!!'. My word

Are we seriously back to the boxing novice malarkey even though Ngannou is coming off a fight with Fury where he landed 11 fewer punches over 30 minutes?
The reason I believe AJ's output will be lower than for Wallin (who was bloody awful) is because I suspect he won't be able to KO Ngannou, and he won't want to entertain the idea of ending up tired against this guy, however much Francis huffs and puffs himself.
I'm a big fan of Joshua, always fancied him to beat Fury and Wilder. But he's no duracell bunny.

I'd fight Fury for £8million, i'm quite sure a lot of other posters would.
Why aren't you pissed off at Wilder for his pathetic performance against Parker?
Would Hearn fight Wilder for that much money? That is what I'd like to see.
I wouldn't do it btw. I'm not trying to be the next Billy Joe Saunders and have to get my eye put back together. That could go real bad in a lot of ways actually.

You appear to have avoided the Wilder question and opted to rant about Hearn instead. Strange behaviour.
Ah well
It's all water under the bridge just like 2022, 2023. I'm looking ahead to what is going to happen next. If Usyk wins will he retire? If he does will the belts be scattered up. These are the kind of things I think about.
Still rather strange. You've been complaining about Joshua v Wilder not happening...yet when it finally looks like it will, Wilder puts in a pathetic performance to lose and you have no opinion of it. I'm quite sure if Joshua had put in such a performance and lost you'd have much more to say.

Did you watch the Ngannou interview above? A grinning Ngannou made the point that Joshua isn't undefeated.

I don't need to watch a video to know that.
Strange behaviour.
