..... yes - and even if he does have ADHD, that doesn't explain calling your opponent a s**thouse and blaming the Ukranian war on your defeat. It doesn't make you hallucinate or have false beliefs!tonyevs wrote: ↑21 May 2024, 15:10I wholeheartedly agree - the vast majority of those people I work with who have serious mental health disorders are typically the gentlest and nicest people I meet.Frostieballs wrote: ↑21 May 2024, 12:50As someone who has had long battles with mental health issues in the past, the interview this morning really enraged me.tonyevs wrote: ↑21 May 2024, 12:37
That was difficult listening.
fWank was embarrassingly ignorant of bipolar disorder; he just made no sense as he tried to use it as an excuse for Fury's disgusting rants.
It's very very rare for someone to have bipolar disorder and not require some nasty medication - the very rare ones who do manage to do so typically have very mild bipolar disorder and are able to do so by looking after themselves .. avoiding illegal substances, alcohol, stress, diet and sleep.
I don't believe for a second Fury is diagnosed with bipolar
In my opinion it was cynical, ignorant and diminishes genuine sufferers.
To claim that bipolar is an excuse for rude/offensive/untrue comments and that we should all go and 'google it on the NHS website' had me shouting at the radio.
In my opinion, mental health sufferers are generally the kindest of people, because they know what it's like to feel bad.
Insulting your opponent, swearing in interviews and blaming the Ukraine war for your loss isn't down to bipolar. It is down to a lack of class.
fWank insults those with bipolar, he clearly has no idea of the disorder.
I agree regarding the ADHD, that is more likely than bipolar - but again, its unlikely because he can dedicate himself to strict training like he has demonstrated the last few months. You can`t pick and choose when you have symptoms of ADHD ... and definitely not bipolar disorder.
Facts are that there has not been any evidence of him experiencing the level of typical manic or depressive symptoms. All we know is that when he got depressed when he got caught and banned for PEDs ... being depressed about a sh1t situation is actually quite normal.
There was a very well known former world champion who demonstrated with typical bipolar disorder ... the grandiose of a manic episode is something else indeed.
You could argue it may exaggerate who you are, or exaggerate your natural tendencies, but you have to be that way in the first place.
