Hmmmmm the story gets more complex.

I am thinking Joe may have been taken advantage of…
Was not financially educated… didn’t keep his eyes on the business side. I can see him being the kind of guy that’s too trusting… now doesn’t know how to deal with the whole disaster so is not writing anymore cheques.

Joe has given his health for the money he has earned. Without knowing more I lean towards Joyce was exploited
Based on what though? So many sportsmen end up broke. They will get targeted by investors for all sorts of things, properties, gold, crypto, some sort of business venture so being sold a dream is common place, people of all walks of life lose their life savings and pensions the same way. They aren't always scams, just not always the wise move if you can't afford to lose that investment. Or he was just silly and spent too much and didn't plan for tax, that seems to be the main issue. I have no idea what the other debt is for, that just sounds like JJ hasn't paid his bills.
Yeah you could well be correct. I’m just going intuitively and knowing how dishonest most people are

Yes it’s very sad and not a story I expected or wanted to hear.

The fact that Joyce was thrown in with Zhang twice after beating Parker while Dubois was rewarded with a title shot against Usyk tells you everything you need to know about the way Joyce was managed.

We all know he was never supposed to beat Dubois that night. Couple fights later, Dubois wins the WBA Interim belt.

Why could Joyce not go in for that?
