I'm not talking lineal here, I'm talking about dominating a division. Hatton has for better or worse dominated 140 more than anyone else, and therefore a win over Hatton means a lot more to me than a win over Oscar at 154.
Floyd dominated 135, and proved himself to be the man by taking on all his rivals, since then there's too much cherry picking for me.
Saying Judah is a potential all time great, is like saying Simon Weston is a potential male model. Yes, if you removed all the horrific and very evident flaws in his make-up, Judah could indeed be an all time great, but he is mentally weak, a bully, has poor defence, and lacks ring smarts. what are you left with, handspeed and punchpower....hmmm, not a lot is it.
Mayweathers the man at 147 every bit as much as Hatton is the man at 140 they both beat the man who beat the man.

The linear championship at Welterweight seems very unlucky and everyone of the winners were upsets other than Mayweather. Thats good news for Hatton.
Hatton hasn't dominated 140lbs because he hasn't dominated the best fighters at that weight like Mayweather (turned down), Cotto, Witter (turned down), Harris. Yes he beat the MAN and he certainly is the linear champion and hence the man to beat. Dominant - you have to clean out the division to claim that
Not sure who Simon Weston is BUT Judahs speed, skill and power are all P4P level. He doesn't have the ex factor but can beat elite level fighters on his day and may have got Cotto if it wasn't for the low blows.
As for Mayweather 'cherry picking' who would you rather he fought that was actually available?
You obviously didn't read my post. Lineal titles mean bollock all. I said there has been nobody dominant at Welterweight for a long time. Tszyu was dominant, Hatton has beaten Tszyu, and Hatton has since continued to win at the weight. That is what makes Hatton the man at 140. Lineal titles are just points of contention for anaraktion over boxing. It doesn't mean a great deal in this day and age. Stop obsessing over Lineal titles, and ask yourself who of the present campaigners at 140 has proven the most, it is Hatton by far.
Bollocks, there is nothing P4P about Judah. He is quick, hits hard and moves a lot, that's it. there's no such thing as P4P speed, because in isolation it is irrelevant. It doesn't matter how fast you are if you have shit timing, or your chin is fragile, or if you have zero power, or you have no stamina. P4P fighters are built on achievement, not on attributes. Judah has lost every single time he has stepped up in class, and lost to a journeyman, albeit a decent journeyman on a good run in Baldomir.
What elite level fighters has Judah beaten then? Aside from a totally green and negative Witter, or perhaps a vastly overrated Corley? Those are not elite level wins, Judah hasn't got any. His best win is over Spinks, who is world class, but not elite, elite level is the P4Pers of this world, which Spinks isn't and never was.
Your clutching at straws here trying to big Judah up, but there's nothing to big up. He showed a lot of heart against Cotto, but he got absolutely mangled in there, and the fight perfectly illustrated what's wrong with Judah, amongst other things, when his fight plan doesn't work, he has no ability to adapt and survive, he simply gets bludgeoned. He is one dimensional mentally, and that is what seperates the top level guys from everyone else, is that mental aspect.
