Danny Davis was a Cincinnati based manager, best known for his association with World featherweight champion Freddie Miller. Other boxers he managed include:

Davis was also a promoter in Hamilton, Ohio in 1927, under the auspices of the Ohio National Guard company of Hamilton. In February 1928, Davis began working as a matchmaker in Washington Court House, Ohio. The May 15, 1930 Cincinnati Enquirer described Davis as an attorney in Campbell County in Kentucky (near Cincinnati). Walker later promoted small club shows at the Davis-Tavern Gym in Cincinnati, and also promoted outdoor programs at Northside Ballpark starting in 1933.
