- Littles entered the fight as the IBF #1 super middleweight contender.
- In the 3rd, Toney suffered a massive cut above his left eye from a clash of heads. The doctor actually told Toney that he would give the fight one more round.
- Littles was knocked down once in the 3rd and twice in the 4th. He got up and was battered by Toney until the fight was stopped by the referee.
