- On December 22, Holota's advisor Dan Escalet confirmed that Golota had signed the contract.[2]
- On January 18, Brewster confirmed that Golota fight was signed.[3][4]
- Originally planned for March 12, it was pushed back twice - first to April 16, then to May 21.
- Tickets finally went on sale March 19.
- Golota was knocked down three times in 53 seconds – all by left hooks.
- Fastest win in the history of world heavyweight title fights.
- Golota lost in a third title try in a row, and fourth title try overall.
