In 1955 Don Eddington of Saint Louis, MO won the Chicago Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions at bantamweight by decision vs. Harry Campbell of Detroit, MI. and won the Intercity Golden Gloves' championship at bantamweight vs. Robert St. John.
In 1959 he won the Chicago Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions at featherweight by decision vs. Johnny Joiner Jr. of Cincinnati, OH. and won the Intercity Golden Gloves' championship at featherweight vs. Lloyd Weeks.
Eddington was the twin brother of Dan Eddington.
