Boxers who won the Chicago Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions (1932-1961)
In the early nineteen thirties, the Chicago Golden Gloves Tournament expanded to include teams from other cities, it became known as the Chicago Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions. It has been referred to as the Western Golden Gloves by many in the media. In 1962 the tournament became known as the National Golden Gloves of the US, with fighters from the East participating, still being sponsored by the Chicago Tribune. This format ended after the following year.
