Joe Benna

In 1938 Joe Benna brother of John Benna a Valparaiso resident fighting in the 160-pound class, lost a hairline decision to Cornelius Young of Chicago CYO in his first start at the Chicago Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions according to the UP. Young later took the division title. Joe Benna also represented Chicago at the Intercity Golden Gloves Tournament in 1938.
