- Cieslak was originally declared the winner of this bout by TKO3. However, the result was changed by the Polish Professional Boxing Department to a no contest on May 16, 2017 after both fighters were found to have tested positive for banned substances. As a result, the IBF Baltic and Republic of Poland Cruiserweight Titles remained vacant.
- Both boxers were also suspended by PPBD and the IBF for one year starting December 10, 2016.
