Bout Summary
- Peden was wobbled in Round 2 from an overhand right, left hook combination.
- Peden was rocked by a right hand in Round 3 and it appears that his gloves touched the mat, yet no knockdown was ruled.
- Referee Brad Vocale called time in Round 6 as a punch after the break knocked out Ganoy's mouthpiece. Peden was warned that another occurrence of hitting after the break would lead to a deduction.
- Peden went down early in Round 7 from what was ruled to be a slip. Also in the 7th, Ganoy hurt Peden with a thudding right hand before losing his balance and falling to the mat while throwing a punch.
- Also in the 7th, Ganoy connected with a pair of straight rights follwed by a left hook that sent Peden falling backwards against the ropes. He received a standing eight-count. He later went down again in the 7th after a left to the head, but it was ruled by the referee to be a slip. It became evident near the end of the 7th that Peden was spent and it was likely a matter of time. Between rounds, Peden was warned by his corner to keep his hands up or they would stop the fight.
- At :21 of Round 8, an accumulation of punches sent Peden falling back into the ropes and down. At this, referee Brad Vocale, waved and end to the bout. Almost simultaneously, Peden's corner threw in the towel.
