Woodward's Pavilion was an early 20th century venue. In January 1904 Alex Greggains and Morris Levy took out a multi-year lease, with plans to remodel the theatrical building. It was to have a seating capacity of 7,000, and would compete with the Mechanics Pavilion in staging boxing programs. 9 January 1904 San Francisco Call: [1]
