Re: "Two Ton Tony" Vs. "The King Of The Four Rounders"
I think Two Ton couldn't put him away in a ten round match... Depends how many hotdogs he eats before the fight.. But im just going to say Two Ton as he has been in alot of fights that were longer then 4 rounds and butterbean has only had one 10 round fight and lost.. and that loss was too an old u...

I'm not convinced Galento can beat Esch and the fact that we can even speculate about it shows Galento is every bit the circus act Esch is and was...

Re: "when we were kings" ... how wrong a view
Ali has Parkinsonism or Parkinson's Syndrome...He does not have Parkinson's Disease...He has symptoms that mimic Parkinson's Disease... If my memory is correct he has issued a statement that his problems are most likely a result of his boxing career... If you include sparring, Muhammad Ali has boxed...

Re: "when we were kings" ... how wrong a view
Let me just tell you that sometimes when your throwing punches you do not realise that the other guy is hurt and you do not wish to let him go.... i guess very few boxers intend to do lasting damage to their opponent. i guess every now and then it just happens. Maybe it was momentum but Norton and ...

Re: How do Ali knockers explain the Foreman triumph
Big George, widely considered the most pulverising puncher of all time Ali was tipped to be quickly dispatched like Frazier and Norton yet Ali came out throwing bombs....took his licks and destroyed Foreman perhaps the greatest victory of them all ? or am i just believing the hype I think this figh...

Protect yourself at all times... BUT it is up to the Ref to protect a fighter when he is in danger.... Let me just tell you that sometimes when your throwing punches you do not realise that the other guy is hurt and you do not wish to let him go....Cooney was doing his job..and Norton lived to enjo...

Re: Golota-Bowe
Guys like Chuvalo made a career of such tactics... Marciano was far from saintly, elbows and the likes.. head butts followed Holyfield around... Ali was notorious for dragging smaller mens heads down... Lewis was the king of the boxing guilotine.. Foreman loved to shove fighters away... Leonard lik...

Re: How do Ali knockers explain the Foreman triumph
I disagree with some of your opinions...that does not mean I dislike you....I only have an opinion and perspective...just like you. What makes this board good is that we all can agree and disagree and defend our views. I just do not share the views of some on Ali...that does not mean I am a 'hater'...

Re: "when we were kings" ... how wrong a view
Ok TOIH2008....off course....naturally. A poster on this board told me it's not the responsibility of a boxer not to hit a helpless opponent... It is the responsibility of the referee to stop him..Technically he is right...But what did Cooney gain by taking those four shots as Norton was sitting on...

Re: Golota-Bowe
But one thing Golota is, is big, strong and athletic with good fundamentals. A solid jab and good chin (at that time)... I did not like the intentional low blows and head butts... They seemed pointless... Sometimes they occur by accident but that wasn't the case with Golota... For instance I don't ...

Re: Golota-Bowe
I'm willing to give Golota the benefit of the doubt. Does it really matter? If he was, he certainly didn't gain from it. If anything, it's casts yet more doubt on the benefits of being juiced in boxing. Golota was probably just head case. He has bit a guy, headbutted a guy for absolutely no reason ...

Who are those posters pray tell TOIH2008? Re: How do Ali knockers explain the Foreman triumph
I agree with almost everything that's been said but it leads me to ask this question. Other than one guy on here who obviously has an agenda, who are all these "Ali knockers"? I would say of any fighter Ali is the one who is most uniformly praised for his career achievements. Correct me i...
