• In 1937 Eddie Kozole won the Chicago Chicago Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions at lightweight by decision (it has been said) over Tommy Pallatin. In the same year he also won the Intercity Golden Gloves' championship at lightweight over Joe Kelly.
