- Loren Ross stopped Weathers in eight rounds in a fight for the WBA North American Cruiserweight Championship in Nashville, Tennessee on March 20, 1990.
- Carl Thompson knocked out Weathers in two rounds in a fight for the WBC International Cruiserweight Championship in London, England on February 17, 1993.
