• 1948 won the Chicago Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions by ko in the 2nd vs. Wayland Dubose.
• 1948 Coley Wallace was awarded an unpopular decision over Henry at the Intercity Golden Gloves Tournament according to The Stars and Stripes.
• 1948 on April 13th as a member of the Chicago Golden Gloves Team representing the United States vs. Europe he beat Fernand Bothy of Belgium at heavyweight.
