Weekend Notes: Matthew Saad Muhammad becomes the ninth fighter to be elected in their first year of eligibility. Antonio Cervantes is the first Colombian elected to the Hall of Fame. Benny Lynch is the first fighter from Scotland to be inducted. Miguel Canto becomes the fifth Mexican fighter inducted. Professor Mike Donovan joins his son, referee Arthur Donovan as a member of the Hall of Fame, making them the first father and son combo enshrined. Mike's grandson, Art Donovan Jr., played football for the Baltimore Colts and is enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Ringside lectures were given by Ken Norton, Christy Martin, Buddy McGirt, Lou Duva, Kevin Kelley, Johnny Tapia, Bert Sugar, and Emanuel Steward. A public workout session was also conducted by Felix Trinidad.
