Comments

  • Marv Albert: "The Hat has done it again with a book that appeals to all boxing fans, young and old. It's 'Must' reading for anyone who even thinks they know boxing ..."
  • Bill Gallo: "Reading about 'The 100 Greatest' was a treat. Bert Sugar does a very good job of selecting the top guys and his comments are entertaining. There is only one area where I disagree with 'The Hat,' he ranks Willie Pep 12th, I would've put the 'Will O' the Wisp' several notches higher. If you're a boxing fan you must read this book."
  • Barney Nagler: "Bert Sugar is a remarkable historian. But he has problems with arithmetical progression. In a phrase, he can't add, but neither can he compile lists. However, he is a daring young man in an area certain to produce argumentation. In the main I agree with his selections, even though he does not know that the old order changeth."
